the ides
by the way, i don't know if you've noticed but today is the ides of march. in the past few years i have not had the best of luck on this day. i'm not superstitious, but it just seems to work out that way. nothing tragic has happened...(i'm resisting the urge to type "yet"). and hopefully, nothing tragic will happen.
tune in tomorrow...

Pretense? Girl, are you crazy? Go to the barbershop and tell dude that you are intrigued. Any self-respecting man would appreciate the honesty. Lie only when you have to, honey. This is not one of those occasions.
the ides of march (or may or july and one other month) falls on the the fifteenth. it's the day that julius caesar was killed by his "friends." caesar was forewarned, but paid no heed to the warning and, well, ended up getting brutally stabbed to death. the ides of march has traditionally been thought of as an unlucky day (kinda like friday the 13th).
as for the blume thing, it's a green kangaroo..."the one in the middle is the green kangaroo." it's a judy blume book about being the middle child...me...
